Our vision is to create a world where every individual feels empowered to live a life of purpose, stability, and faith. We envision communities where mental health is prioritized, self-acceptance is nurtured, and individuals have access to the resources needed to thrive. Through the integration of spiritual, emotional, and mental support, we aim to bridge gaps, break barriers, and bring hope to those struggling with personal and systemic challenges.
Our Commitments
-
Faith and Compassion: At Imani Within, we recognize the transformative power of faith and compassion. We stand alongside those in need, offering both practical support and spiritual guidance rooted in the love of Jesus Christ.
-
Community Empowerment: We are dedicated to uplifting our community by offering programs that promote self-empowerment, build resilience, and address systemic challenges such as homelessness and mental health issues. Our "Imani Within Communities" initiative reflects this commitment, providing safe, affordable housing and services for stability and self-sufficiency.
-
Sustained Outreach: Our monthly community give-backs provide food, clothing, free medical care, prayer, and mental health support. These efforts are extended throughout the Metro Atlanta area to ensure that individuals in need have access to essential resources and care.

OUR PROGRAMS
IMANI WITHIN COMMUNITIES
Imani Within commitment to providing holistic and lasting solutions to complex systemic challenges, such as homelessness, drives the development of our new Community Housing Development program. Through this initiative, we aim to offer safe, reliable shelter and affordable housing, alongside supportive services that equip individuals with the necessary tools and resources for stability and self-sufficiency.
IMANI WITHIN CARES
We offer peer support and group activities. Here is a glimpse of some of the mindfulness worship we provide for adolescents and adults, with the aim of improving social, emotional, and academic outcomes for all participants.
Our mindfulness workshop comprises of 3 segments:
Self-Talk
The Self-Talk activity focuses on changing negative, toxic and limiting self-talk that we constantly speak and mindfully replacing them with positive self-talk. Then we create an affirmation “I am” accompanied with positive statements that we want to manifest.
Brainy Mac Activity
The Brainy Macs activity utilizes flashcards to define aspects of the brain and mind and participants get 10 minutes to read articles that pertain to each and will get to group the cards according to the one that goes to the brain or the mind. The instructor will then give a break down of the differences. We want to replace that fear with faith that eludes positivity and love in order to diminish negative aspirations.
Web of Truth Activity
Web of Truths is an activity that focuses on internal self- dialogue and getting rid of falsely held beliefs. This activity also forces participants to come face-to-face with their own truths and to realize that they are not alone. This activity will result in an increased connectivity with self and being comfortable with being vulnerable and transparent with others.

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Mathew 5:16
Our signature event “Let Your Light Shine Outdoor Festival for Depression & Suicide Awareness" is an outdoor festival that takes place in May for Mental Health Awareness Month. This joy-filled experience strives to strengthen the community awareness of Depression and Suicide in order to bridge the gap between different cultures and backgrounds to build unity, healing, and empowerment. We often hear that traditional medicine is fast to pursue the use of antipsychotic drugs as a first tier treatment for mental illness. However, Imani Within encourages non-traditional interventions that include creative therapy such as art, drama, and music. This will lead to people feeling comfortable in seeking diagnosis and treatment to reduce the stigma and shame that can be associated with mental illness. The festivities are free to the general public and will feature special speakers. There will be a variety of performances from community participants in R&B, Poetry, Rap, Hip Hop, and Dance. Food and activities will be available for free as well as games and activities for the kids.
